GREENSIDE - 175TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION - OCTOBER 12TH 2014

On Sunday, 6th October, 1839 the congregation of Greenside Parish Church, a Burgh Church of the City of Edinburgh, founded earlier in 1837, met for their inaugural worship at Royal Terrace.  The service was conducted by its first minister, The Rev William Glover, DD.

The many years which have followed have been blessed by the great gifts of subsequent fruitful and God centred ministries.  Conscious of that significant legacy and with a positive forward vision and mission, we are holding a service of thanksgiving and rededication at 11.0 a.m. on Sunday, 12th October to celebrate all that has been achieved in God's most glorious name over 175 years.
